INTENDED USE

Human WTIP ELISA kit can measure concentrations of Wilms tumor protein 1-interacting protein (WTIP, WT1-interacting protein) present is plasma, serum, biological fluids or tissue homogenate samples. This assay has a minimum sensitivity detection limit of 46.875 pg/ml.

INTRODUCTION

WTIP, also known as Wilms Tumor Protein 1 Interacting Protein is a gene that codes for a protein involved in processes within cells. It has been linked to conditions, like Chromosome 19Q13.11 Deletion Syndrome and Prolidase Deficiency. Scientific studies have revealed that WTIP plays a role in hypertrophy and interacts with noncanonical Wnt signaling. Furthermore research has identified a variant in WTIP (p.Y233F). Provided evidence of its involvement in complex diseases particularly hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).

In terms of its function WTIP acts as a regulator under conditions by facilitating the association between prolyl hydroxylases and VHL proteins which leads to the efficient breakdown of HIF1A (hypoxia inducible factor 1 alpha). This suggests that WTIP may play a role in responses, to low oxygen levels and hypoxia.

TYPICAL RESULTS

For this WTIP ELISA kit, it is recommended that a standard curve is generated for each assay carried out.

Standard Curve: 0, 78.13, 156.25, 312.5, 625, 1250, 2500, 5000 pg/ml.
Reactivity: Human
Sensitivity: 46.875 pg/ml
Range: 78.125 – 5000 pg/ml
Principle: Sandwich, Double Antibody
Application: Research Use Only.

ASSAY CHARACTERISTICS

– Specificity: Highly specific for WTIP, no cross reactivity or interference between WTIP and analogues was detected.
– Recovery: Serum (85 – 102%), EDTA Plasma (86 – 101%), Heparin Plasma (85 – 101%).
– Linearity: Serum (88 – 101%), EDTA Plasma (88 – 100%), Heparin Plasma (84 – 95%).
– Precison Intra-Assay: CV < 8%
– Precison Inter-Assay: CV < 10%

I am a first time user and found that your instruction manual was very easy to follow. The insulin ELISA assay performed well and I was happy with the results that were generated.

J. Thomas
Senior Technician / Addenbrooke’s Hospital

I carried out a pilot study comparing the performance of many ELISA assay's from different suppliers and found your kits to be one of the better performers. We observed good linearity and tight replicates.

Dr. C. Davies
Lead Scientists / AstraZeneca

You are my first point of contact when I am looking to purchase ELISA. You have such an easy and simple system, yet it is very effective.
