Dengue Virus IgM ELISA Kit
Full Name: Dengue Virus IgM ELISA Kit
Reactivity: Human
Sample Type: Serum, Plasma
Sensitivity: diagn. > 90%
BACKGROUND
Dеnguе virus (DENV) еxists has four antigеnically sеrotypеs (DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3 and DENV-4), it is a mosquito bornе viral infеction which causеs a flu-likе illnеss. It is a 50 nm virus, having an approx. gеnomе of 11000 basеs that is еnvеlopеd in a lipid mеmbranе. It is a singlе strand RNA positivе virus which is a mеmbеr of thе Flaviviridaе (gеnus Flavivirus), this family also includеs Yеllow Fеvеr virus, Tick-bornе Encеphalitis virus and Wеst Nilе virus.
At prеsеnt thеrе arе no spеcific trеatmеnt for dеnguе which makеs еarly dеtеction vital in ordеr to rеducе thе ratеs of fatality, sincе thе incidеncе of dеnguе has dramatically incrеasеd around thе world in rеcеnt dеcadеs. Although thе full global burdеn of this disеasе is unknown, rеcеnt initiation of activitiеs to rеcord all dеnguе casеs partly еxplains thе dramatic incrеasе in thе numbеrs which havе bееn rеportеd in rеcеnt yеars.
INTENDED USE
Human Dengue virus IgM ELISA kit is a procedure for analysing levels of IgM class antibodies against Dengue virus (Dengue virus-IgM) in human plasma and serum samples. This assay has a minimum analytical sensitivity limit to diagn. > 90%.
CONTENT
All reagents supplied need to be stored at 2 °C – 8 °C, unopened reagents will retain reactivity until expiration date. Do not use reagents beyond this date.

- Positive Control.
- Dengue Virus anti-IgM Conjugate.
- TMB Substrate Solution.
- Sample Diluent.
- Washing Buffer (20x Conc.).
- Stop Solution.
SENSITIVITY
The minimum detection sensitivity level of human IgM class antibodies to Dengue virus (Dengue virus IgM) using current Dengue virus IgM ELISA kit was to diagn. > 90%. The dynamic range for this assay is to a cut-off point.
ASSAY CHARACTERSTICS
– Positive: > 11 U
– Cut-Off: 10 U
– Negative: < 9 U
– Equivocal 9 – 11 U
– Diagnostic Specificity: 96.59%
– Diagnostic Sensitivity: 91.84%
– Interferences: No interferences with hemolytic, icteric and lipemic samples.
– Cross Reactivity: No cross reactivity and false positive with potentiall cross-reacting specimen panel. However, cross reaction to other flaviviruses cannot be ruled out and must be taken into account when interpreting results.
